For this video, I got a tip that Target got in the first 2010 Topps cards, so I went down and picked up 20 retail packs specifically to open on camera to show people what to expect. I didn’t get a lot, but I have learned a lot since these packs. Enjoy!

That Eddy Mathews card is in super shape and centering, I’ve always see it with terrible centering or in poor condition due? to it being the last card (#407) in the set.

February 28th, 2012 at 7:36 am52 Topps are? the best, IMO. The look of the cards combined with the fact that it has the original, pre-relocation era teams of the Boston Braves, St. Louis Browns and Philadelphia A’s (as well as the New York Giants and Brooklyn Dodgers for that matter)…perfection.
February 28th, 2012 at 7:52 amthat is an awesome dream come true.?
February 28th, 2012 at 8:07 amDude I’ll buy them for 10? .00
February 28th, 2012 at 8:12 amI remember reading an article from Sports Illustrated from ’89 and they interviewed a collector by the? name of Al Rosen. He stated that Mickey Mantle’s ’52 Topps rookie card was valued at $8,500. After 22 years, there’s no telling how much the card is now. I quit collecting cards once I got to high school a couple of years later.
February 28th, 2012 at 8:41 amthis is amazing. 1952 topps are amazing and beautiful?
February 28th, 2012 at 9:00 amI would suggest that you put all of the cards in plastic…….watch those corners !!!?

February 28th, 2012 at 4:50 pm@BritishDarthVader4 — The “h” at the end of his last name does not help at all, as it makes it look like? it is pronounced the same way you would pronounce the “gh” in the word “rough”, and that is enough to send my mind into a tailspin trying to remember quickly how it is supposed to be pronounced, all the while knowing that I am wasting a lot of time on one base card, which adds even more pressure, and causes me to start stuttering.
February 28th, 2012 at 5:06 pm@BritishDarthVader4 — Every time I see his name, I can never remember which way it is pronounced. I over analyze it, mostly because I am under pressure? knowing that the camera is picking up every sound that I make.
February 28th, 2012 at 5:59 pmYou really don’t know how to pronounce Ryan Spilborghs ( Ry-an -Spil-borgs) Thats how you pronounce it. Anyways, good video. It might be someone different but i think you meant Ryan? Spilborghs.
February 28th, 2012 at 6:19 pm@TheToppsMan — Actually, this video is the only one that I got an offer from YouTube to put an ad on for the first 9 months that I had these videos up. When they did that, it got listed WAY higher in the search results, and therefore built up a tremendous amount of views. I was only getting 1¢ per click, and Google stated that I was supposed to get 50% of the money. I? am sure that those ads were generating more than 2¢, so I stopped the ad on it, but I went ahead and allowed ads on others now.
February 28th, 2012 at 6:55 pmThe reason this vid has so many views is bcuz it’s the? 3rd thing down when you search “topps” on YouTube.
February 28th, 2012 at 7:42 pm@krisbenham My friend did it? again!
>:( >:(
February 28th, 2012 at 7:57 pm@MASTERcheese117XD — You folks are so kind to me. It is very flattering. I appreciate everyone’s positive feedback about stuff that I am doing, as it? lets me know that I must be doing something right.
February 28th, 2012 at 8:04 pm@pokemon50014 — I do not have a personal? collection, therefore trading does not benefit me in any way.
February 28th, 2012 at 8:47 pmare? you trading any of these cards?
February 28th, 2012 at 9:27 pm@dafutbawl — I also struggle with the black borders of 2007 Topps. I sleeve each and every card that I have. I believe this to be enough to keep them protected without the top loaders. Raw cards in boxes will surely be death for those condition sensitive cards. Over the years, I have seen cards that are unsleeved and stored in boxes absorb the? dye coloring from the cardboard box, even without moisture. I have also seen every unsleeved card get damaged when that box gets dropped on a corner.
February 28th, 2012 at 9:55 pmHey there. You seem to be? a pretty smart collector. If you could help me on one thing. How should I store my base sets and insert sets? For 2007 topps which I have completed, I penny sleeved and toploadered every card. This is waaaaay too much for all of them. Just put ’em away raw? Thanks!
February 28th, 2012 at 10:02 pm@jessereyes19 — I am on the verge of losing everything right now, so buying cards is not really an option for me at? this time.
February 28th, 2012 at 10:56 pmdo you buy cards i have lots
February 28th, 2012 at 11:00 pmhit me? back up
@Rockman668 — I have to say, after reading all of your comments, that your tone is quite different in all of them. Overall, your comments were pretty harsh,? quite judgmental, and I believe that it has earned you a big fat BLOCK. Enjoy pointing out everyone else’s flaws to them. Not havin’ that here.
February 28th, 2012 at 11:39 pmN u failed 2 say David wright he IS my? fav met n once again- u suck
February 28th, 2012 at 11:52 pmAnhel peegin- wow u suck it’s angel pagan he’s like my fav ny met u shouldn’t even? have his card u don’t desrve it I would kill for it……….not literally
February 29th, 2012 at 12:51 am@metman45 — Wow. And you fail at spelling, “pronunciation” is the correct way to spell that word. At least I am incorrectly pronouncing people’s names that I don’t see every day for 12 years of school, like we saw the word? “pronunciation”.
February 29th, 2012 at 1:22 amu fail at pronounciation?
February 29th, 2012 at 1:43 am@wallacevamp — 21 years in just baseball cards, and I am still learning new stuff myself. All you can do is read every article you see about cards, and learn as you open the cards. How much you want to learn is up to you. Some people are stat fans, so the card backs are important to them. Some people are set builders, so getting 1 of each card is important to them. Some are player collectors. I have a website, so I want to scan of all of my cards so people can see what each card looks? like.
