As long as they are accredited and accepted by your state’s board of nursing as being an eligible program for taking your NCLEX exam, then that’s all you really need to know. If you graduate with a degree in nursing and pass your NCLEX to earn your license as an RN, you will get a job. Right now the economy is a bit tight and in some areas of the country new grad RNs are having a harder time getting their first job, but in a few years time that will turn around again, there is still a looming nursing shortage that will most effective get worse in the upcoming decade.
Nursing always pays well, relatively speaking of course. It’s among the highest paying jobs you can get with only an Assoc. Degree. New grads working in a hospital setting can make anywhere from $ 25-35 per hour to start.
