Building a Desktop PC Tower for Under $300 – Part 1 – The Parts and Prices
In this video, I go over the parts I have selected to build a good value Budget PC computer for under 0. The parts in this video was purchased from Newegg and from Amazon as of February of 2013. The cost of under 0 includes discounts and rebates offered from Newegg at the time of purchase. Subsequent videos will show step-by-step instruction on exactly how to build such a desktop computer from start to finish. Here is a list of all the parts I used in this build as well as links that should work (at least as of the time this video was published anyhow) ———————————————————- CASE: Antec New Solutions Series VSK-3000 Black Micro ATX www.newegg.com MOTHERBOARD: Asus F1A55-M LE FM1 AMD A55 Hudson D2 Micro ATX www.newegg.com CPU: AMD A6-3500 APU with AMD Radeon 6530 FM1 65W Processor www.amazon.com POWER SUPPLY: Thermaltake TR2 TR-500 500 Watt ATX 12volt SLI & Crossfire Ready www.newegg.com MEMORY: G.Skill Ripjaw Series 4 GB (2x2GB) 240-pin DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) www.newegg.com HARD DRIVE: Seagate Barracuda ST500DM002 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5″ www.newegg.com VIDEO CARD: ZOTAC ZT-60602-10L GeForce GT610 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 www.newegg.com DVD/CD BURNER: Lite-On DVD Burner Black SATA Model iHAS124-04 24x – OEM www.newegg.com

Agree that a 6570 card would have pushed a lot more polygons, but it would have also pushed my budget well over $300. I got a new out-of-pocket cost for this 610 of $19.99.? I’d be lucky to score a 6570 for under $60.
Besides, this PC is for my dad, whose biggest graphic endeavor will be likely be Free Cell, lol.
February 25th, 2013 at 9:54 pmu wasted your money on the graphics crad u shouldve got a 6570 or something? for hybrid crossfire to get the most fps for buck
February 25th, 2013 at 10:46 pmYes Forever, all these parts except for the CPU was ordered off of Newegg.com in the USA. Newegg seems to always have rebate deals on at least two or three, sometimes? even four parts for a complete PC. They are kindof a pain, it took me 30 to 45 minutes just to fill out and mail the three rebate offers I had, which was two $20 rebates and a $10 rebate. Worth the trouble though for sure. I do think they count on a majority of people putting it off and not getting them in.
February 25th, 2013 at 11:08 pmHow did you? stack so many promo codes and coupons? What site do you find them on? I’m in Canada, I wonder if most of these promos are only applicable on the newegg.com website.
