Question by Sam: do i need a wiring adapter for my radio?
I got a new radio..xdmar6720. I installed it into my 2000 chevy impala ls and theres no sound? I hardwired everything to the assigned colored wires..it works with a separate speakers but not im my car. Do i need a wire adapter for this? It turns on and all but no sound.i also have 2 12 inch mtx terminator subs and a 500 watt alpine amp if that helps.
Could i use that adapter? If not where can i find an adapter? I cant find any.

You should always get the correct adapter harness. It’s possible you have an additional factory amp that has to be bypassed with a bypass harness. This is the usual reason for the symptom your’e describing.
