Question by Steve: How do i figure how to compare 1000 watts to 2000 kWh?
Trying to see electricity used and watts compared.

kWh = KiloWatt hours
1kW=1000 watts
1000 watts for 1 hour is 1/2000 of 2000 kWh
If you are at this level, you should be able to do arithmetic.

    No comparison between a unit of power (Watt) and another for energy (kW-h).

    Watts is the unit for power, power is energy used per second. Kilowatt hours is the unit of energy. A 1,000 watt (1 kilowatt) load will use 2,000 kWh if run for 2,000 hours.
