Question by the originator: How do you make money buying and selling websites?
I read an article about making decent money online buying and selling websites for a profit after you redesign/ remarket them. Does anybody have experience doing this? I have modest computer skills, I’m not in the industry. Is there a substantial profit to be made. I would like to start with about $ 500-1,000.

Create a website from scratch with a catchy name. offer the first 15 small unique local businesses in your area Free ads in exchange for business cards and flyers placed at their location. Now you have 15 clients on your site to show future businesses. market the site, develop a few more clients and there you have a small advertising website. Then sell your domain name

You have an ideal budget to start off buying and selling websites. I can say that this is very profitable because you can sell websites for at least 12 months their monthly revenue and up to 36 months their monthly revenue if you’re earning over $ 1000 with the site.
You might want to check out flippa.com to get an idea of what types of sites sell well and to see the types of sites you can buy low and sell high.
If you’re going to do this then you need to know how to do it well without making any costly mistakes. I recommend checking out Killer Flipping Secrets – a course on buying and selling sites from two guys who make a full time living doing just that.
You can even start for much less than the budget you stated.
April 6th, 2013 at 4:53 amYou’d first have to create your own online store, make it a success and then sell it off once you have it valuated. Another way is to check if any of your local businesses need any help creating an online store and if they do, you could help them set up the entire store and pass it to them to manage after you’re done.
