You can stand as close as you want.
There is no “radioactive waves” emitted by a microwave oven at all. what is emitted is microwaves, a form of radio or RF waves, and that is blocked by the wire mesh in the door.
I don’t think there is any such thing as “radioactive waves”. You can have radioactivity (but not a microwave oven) but it is not considered a wave.

Unless there is a break in the seal of the oven door, you can stand as close as you want. No microwaves should escape from the chamber where the food is placed.
