I am looking for a motherboard that is affordable and has a good performance.My components are: Core 2 Duo E6400, 2GB ddr2 800,Western Digital 320GB,Radeon x1950pro, creative soundblaster and 500-600 watt power supply. Which mobo is the best price/perfomance for me?

I would recommend buying an ASUS mobo, they are the top brand on the market (as far as I’m concerned) and are reasonably priced. Check out www.newegg.com, search for ASUS intel mobo.

September 25th, 2012 at 8:15 pmAsus and MSI mobos are your best bet, the chipset should be either Intel P965 Express Chipset, or NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI Chipset (minimum). From my research the MSI – Micro Star International Mfr. Part No. 975X PLATINUM will give you the best bang for the buck (about $ 180), and it also comes with a 3 year warranty. Make sure the mobo has a PCI Express x16 Interface slot since that is what your video card is compatible with.
