Question by : I want to take Nursing classes but when i took the compass take a look at I didn’t get school degree scores?
My reading rating is English 94, writing score is 81 and my math score is 62.
Do i have to take classes until I reach at college level after that i can take Nursing classes or i can take nursing classes with these score?

What was the purpose of your taking the Compass Test?
It seems that you will be eligible to take many of the prerequisite classes for nursing but I would anticipate your having to take a math prep direction before you sit in a college math course for credit. Of course it’s very best to check with the university or college since rules vary between institutions.

Question by Jackie C: Setting up a meet and greet with the head of the school nursing division?
I’m currently taking my pre-req’s at a community college this is my last semester. I’m trying to figure out what classes I need so I can transfer over to a four year college/univ. Someone had suggested I set up a couple of meet and greets with the head of the nursing department from the quite a lot of schools I may like to attend. Can anyone counsel how I can possibly set up those meetings?

Well the easiest way would be to ask the Admissions offices at these various colleges if the heads of the department do meet and greets. If not, you can communicate to the admission counselors who would be in a position to let you know the courses and the pre-reqs required for entrance into the school. They would also be the perfect means of helping you personally than from you researching. If they are unable to solution your questions they may direct you to the higher ups who would then talk to you.
If the heads do meet and greets then you may be able to set up an appointment through their secretaries – which is another process that can be done by contacting the admissions office.

There are way too many variables to give you a good resolution on the information provided. How long will you stay in the area? What is the trend in real estate prices in your neighborhood? What other assets, liabilities, income and expenditures do you have?

Seek the service of a Certified Financial Planner to help you sort through all the questions.

One factor I can tell you: move the money out of the stock. do not be invested in a single stock, there is too much possibility there. I have nothing against Abbott Labs, I just don’t recommend being invested in one stock, no matter how just right the company is. If you decide to invest, set up a diversified mix of mutual funds, tailored to your risk tolerance and time horizon.
