Well, you must first be an LPN, then you can take the software to become ann RN. You could then return to an RN to BSN Program.
Personally, I skipped all of that and simply entered a BSN program. I graduate on WEDNESDAY!!!!

Its very competitive to try getting accepted into an RN program. Would an LPN program be easier to get into to? And then after that I could transition into an RN program. How hard would it be to get into a LPN to RN transition program in Indiana once I get my LPN?

I have read a couple of questions from you on this subject. The answer is to observe to SDSU and to several other CSUs. That SDSU is impacted for nursing will make admission much more tricky. In fact, in some years they might not take any nursing transfer scholars. Because so many native transfer students are admitted to SDSU, it is one of the so much difficult CSUs for transfer admission for non-local students. Most CSUs are impacted for nursing which is why you should apply to several CSUs, including the one which “serves” your community college. I’m applying to an accelerated nursing application at VCU to get a b.s.n. The application is really long and there are 2 essay portions. One is a brief summation of why you need to be a nurse. To get into Nursing School, you pretty much need an “A” moderate. Nursing Schools usually want the cream of the crop before they will even consider taking a scholar with a “C” in Biology. I know because our daughter tried and she couldn’t get in with an overall ‘B’ average and that was at a Junior College. The Nursing faculty said they ordinary all directly
“A” average students first come, first serve. each my Aunt and my first cousin are Nurses and they both had straight “A” averages to get into Nursing School.

I am actually a clinical graduate from the philippines. some stuff happened and I took some time off to take care of my father (tried private nurses but it didn’t pan out). As time went by, the dream of taking the USMLE and becoming a medical resident became more unrealistic but I really do love the medical box so I was hoping that I can become a nurse instead.

most professions in the health related field are projected to have substantial growth in the next 5 years. as long as you fulfill the application and visa requirements the fact that you are a foreigner should not be a hurdle. if you already hold a medical doctor level you may have your credit evaluated from one of the services that relates overseas degrees to their equivalent in the u.s. you might be able to transfer some credits and this will shorten the time to complete the bsn program.
what i dont understand is why it would be unrealistic to take the usmle test just because some time has passed. why you dont try it still? the worst it could occur is that you dont pass.
