Question by Randall M: What do I want to realize about Nursing classes or simply as a career?
I am looking for any and all recommendation I can get as I am getting ready to start at a group College with my Pre-Reqs Anatomy & Physiology before going on into the Nursing software. Just curious if there is anything special I need to help me in A&P classes and if there is any advice approximately any different Nursing classes or for when I become a Nurse?

I would love to hear from a few currents Nurses about life as a Nurse and what I should expect.

I’m not a present nurse, but I am entering the nursing program this fall. Sorry, my answers are limited to what I know so far, lol. I have been through all the pre-reqs, although.

A&P is tough! It’s not so bad at community college, though (I’ve tried it as a university and comm faculty. ) You just have to paintings at it everyday. Make flashcards. Review them at least once per day. read chapters 2-3 times so it really registers. Find what works for you. Some other folks are writing learners (I used to draw a skull, for instance, and label all the parts. I’d do that over and over again.) Some people like to teach others, study with others, etc.

Question by : DDoes anyone know any information on SDSU nursing software?
Is it arduous for an undergraduate just out of prime school to get accepted into their four 12 months bachelor degree utility?
My sat ranking wasn’t just right. …like 1350
My grade element average proper now is 3.78, but it should get to a 3.85 once i finish my senior year.

With your GPA and SAT score you will have no problem getting into SDSU; however, you won’t be able to apply to the nursing program right out of high school as a result of you must whole several perquisite lessons first. The perquisite classes takes about 1.5 to 2 years to complete general. You in reality want to make sure you get really good grades in your perquisite courses (I’m talking A’s and high B’s) because the GPA from those courses will be part of the application procedure into the nursing program.

The nursing techniques in all California State colleges are impacted and have an moderate of 1000-1800 applicants and only 120-180 spots to fill for the year. So as you can imagine it is extremely competitive. SDSU application process for the nursing program works off a point system (as do majority of CSU’s) You get points for Overall GPA, Perquisite GPA (anatomy, physiology chem… ETC.) , TEAS Score (entrance examination for nursing school) paintings experience, and volunteer experience.
To better you chance I would start volunteering at your local hospital if you haven’t already. Really have a look at hard and do good in you perquisite courses and study hard for your TEAS examination.

I had a 4.0 in my perquisite courses, 3.76 total GPA, and a 94 score on my TEAS and I got into all the nursing programs I applied for (including SDSU) except SJSU. However, I choose to attend nursing school out of state (GSU in GA). I graduate nursing school this may and it has literally been one of the very best decisions I have ever made.
