I merely completed my LPN I refuse to go to a for benefit school to whole my RN. It was such a mess the first time. Are there any school or colleges that be offering this on-line?

It’s simply MADDENING the folks who come here, to this INTERNATIONAL web site, and write/question as though it have been all happening proper in his/her hometown; or they leave out all the essential the related information which answerers will want to in reality help them.
You haven’t, for starters, mentioned what the for-profit school was, or what was the “mess” so that maybe any person here may just address it and provide you a few perspective. Or if your LPN credential, no subject what it is, is from it.
Speaking of which, you additionally haven’t specified what degree, precisely, you have. Referring to it as having finished your LPN tells us nothing. In a few states, granted, that’s, at minimum, an associates stage (AA, AS or AAS), but in other states an LPN credential is simplest a profession diploma. Additionally, in a few states, whether it is an AA, AS, AAS, or simply a career diploma, the school needn’t essentially be authorised by an company approved by the US division of education (USDE) or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), and want only be authorized by the state nursing board; and so if the credential (be it an AA, an AS, an AAS or a diploma) is unaccredited it may not be applicable as needful for entry into an authorized RN software.
And that last phase brings us to that you additionally have not said what state you are in (or at least the state in which you intend to practice) since part of what is in the previous paragraph will have to clearly show that that can made a huge difference. Nursing is REGULATED by STATES (not the federal government); and each state has different rules. So coming right right right right here and asking a query like this without specifying the state simply blinds your answerers. Oh, sure, someone may chime in and give you what knowledge s/he has… but, trust me, said information will be based totally on what s/he knows approximately what happens in his/her state. And how things work in YOUR state may be different.
So the completely first factor you need to do is hunt down the web website your state’s nursing board (or, extra accurately, the nursing board of the state in which you’ll be able to be practicing) and READ WHAT’s ON IT. Believe me, every question you could imaginable conjure up will be replied there, by hook or by crook. You just need to stop short-cutting and be told to do proper due diligence. And asking round here, whilst simultaneously leaving-out beautiful much everything any answerer could need to understand to be a real value to you doesn’t qualify as due diligence.

And don’t bother coming in here and adding to the question with clarifications and addenda. This is not a forum or chat. Answerers don’t get emails telling them that someone has added to a question they’ve answered; and most answerers just resolution and then are gone forever… so they wouldn’t see whatever you add, in any case.
On the web website online of the relevant nursing board, you’ll most probably also find a record of schools the credentials from which it has authorized as requisite to sit for the NCLEX and whatever different exams will be required for an RN in that state. And if any of the ones programs are online (or a few other distance studying modality), it will likely be so indicated. Or, the nursing board may not list schools and, instead, will simply specify what are the types of credentials (their accreditation, duration, etrc.) it will settle for (which is in fact the better way to do it).
Also, does not the NLNAC web web site offer a list of (or means of searching for) its authorised programs?

And why must it be NLNAC accredited? Does your state (or the state in which you’ll be practicing) absolutely require that? Some states only require that the nursing application be accredited by pretty a lot any USDE- and/or CHEA-approved accreditor; and many states only require said accreditor to be one of the six “regional” accreditors, but not necessarily also NLNAC.
Another reason to care about the state and its requirements is that an LPN-to-RN application may not necessarily consequence in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program… and that is truly what you need. Some states may accept an accredited, but hospital-based LPN-to-RN program which may not actually result in a degree but, rather, merely a state-approved RN certification which, if ever accepted at some point in the future into a BSN program would nonetheless be around 30 (or so) semester credit score score score score score hours brief thereof. So, while you’ll be an RN, alright, you’d still be a full-time year of study (or more) away from a BSN.
And you really do need to go on and by-golly get that BSN! It is becoming the normative RN qualification across the country; and you’d need one if you ever wanted to go on to a masters degree of any sort.
So, reducing to the chase: I presume you have an AA, AS or AAS (probably an AS) from someplace like the nightmarish University of Phoenix (UOP)… which kind of school is fairly notorious for graduating unhappy LPN-qualified people who swear they will never once more set foot in a for-profit. Understandable.

The Northeastern Oklahoma A&M college Department of Nursing program to which I earlier referred you is an instance of what you’re looking for; and it may be possible, if you’re a approved LPN in some other state, to get some kind of a waiver on that “must be a licensed Oklahom LPN” requirement.

Just remember, please, to check the program’s accreditation before enrolling in it. degree and degree mills are everywhere; and so are the bogus accreditors which some of them claim. To verify that any school or program is really and truly accredited by a USDE- and/or CHEA-approved agency, you must look it up in their databases.

If the school isn’t in either or each of those databases (and do look it up in the second if it’s not in the first), then it’s not accredited… no matter WHAT it claims on its web site or in its advertising materials or catalog. Only if the school first became accredited within the past few weeks, and so the USDE and/or CHEA databases have not caught-up yet, would a school actually be accredited by a USDE- and/or CHEA-approved agency, yet not be listed in their databases.
Also very important would be to double-check with the nursing board of the state in which you intend to observe and verify that the LPN-to-RN or LPN-to-BSN program you’re contemplating will be acceptable as requisite to sit for the NCLEX and whatever other hoops through which said state may make you jump in order to allow you to be an RN.
