Question by : Will I be in a position to transfer my intended prime from industry admin. to nursing at SDSU?
I’m currently a senior in HS and I applied this year for San Diego State University this past fall for Business Administration. I’m from Massachusetts.
I’ve decided that Nursing is what I’d really like to major in after some career exploration.
Can I take Nursing prerequisites and try to switch my major as soon as i start in the fall?

Changing your major is a fairly simple process. You must take the prerequisite courses and then the TEAS test, and only then would you be able to observe to the nursing application anyway.

Question by : Can I switch into SDSU with a nursing prime?
Would it be a excellent choice to major in nursing, since it’s pretty impacted, what different good majors can i major in? do you think I’ll have a chance?

I have read a couple of questions from you on this subject. The answer is to observe to SDSU and to several other CSUs. That SDSU is impacted for nursing will make admission much more tricky. In fact, in some years they might not take any nursing transfer scholars. Because so many native transfer students are admitted to SDSU, it is one of the so much difficult CSUs for transfer admission for non-local students. Most CSUs are impacted for nursing which is why you should apply to several CSUs, including the one which “serves” your community college. Discuss this situation with the transfer counselor at your college. highest wishes.

Question by amiej21: will i still get into sdsu if im a switch student and im majoring in nursing if i get a C in human anatomy?
im planning on transfering to SDSU and my prime is nursing, but will i be able to transfer if i got a C grade in Bio 260(human anatomy)? can i get accepted, and just retake the class there?

To get into Nursing School, you pretty much need an “A” moderate. Nursing Schools usually want the cream of the crop before they will even consider taking a scholar with a “C” in Biology. I know because our daughter tried and she couldn’t get in with an overall ‘B’ average and that was at a Junior College. The Nursing faculty said they ordinary all directly
“A” average students first come, first serve. each my Aunt and my first cousin are Nurses and they both had straight “A” averages to get into Nursing School.

Question by : DDoes anyone know any information on SDSU nursing software?
Is it arduous for an undergraduate just out of prime school to get accepted into their four 12 months bachelor degree utility?
My sat ranking wasn’t just right. …like 1350

With your GPA and SAT score you will have no problem getting into SDSU; however, you won’t be able to apply to the nursing program right out of high school as a result of you must whole several perquisite lessons first. The perquisite classes takes about 1.5 to 2 years to complete general. You in reality want to make sure you get really good grades in your perquisite courses (I’m talking A’s and high B’s) because the GPA from those courses will be part of the application procedure into the nursing program.

The nursing techniques in all California State colleges are impacted and have an moderate of 1000-1800 applicants and only 120-180 spots to fill for the year. So as you can imagine it is extremely competitive. SDSU application process for the nursing program works off a point system (as do majority of CSU’s) You get points for Overall GPA, Perquisite GPA (anatomy, physiology chem… ETC.) , TEAS Score (entrance examination for nursing school) paintings experience, and volunteer experience.
