Question by bnet3490: Under what conditions are solar panels’ power ratings measured?
I’m working on a school project and the panel we’re using has a max power rating of 100 watts. There are ASTM standards for obtaining this value, but I cannot access them anywhere without shelling out close to $ 50 (ASTM E772 is the article). I’m wondering if anyone knows the conditions under which this rating is obtained, so that I can model my data accordingly.
Oh, and references would be highly appreciated if you have any. Thanks in advance.

The output resistance of your panel must be match input of your load,mean if soler Vmax is 18 volt then your converter input around about 17 volt and the power of converter must be 100 watt,you can use also more ranges converter like 130 200.the power of the converter must be equaled to panel or more then the panel.

A great amp head is the Marshall JCM 100 watt tube head. A awesome cab for it is the Marshall 1960 4×12 cab. they are usually available for less that $ 1000 for the head and $ 800 for the head. I have played them and the sound very good, probably the best sounding amp i have ever played on.

SVC 4 ohm subs 300 cont and 700 peak

I need the 500 watts, I really don’t want 250 unless the 50 watts im not pushing isn’t going to make a difference. If i am only able to push at 250.. which is 50 watts less than what i want.. would that make a difference?

For one, that isn’t underpowering a subwoofer, you want to be at or just a tad above rms power so you want an amp running around 300-400w. Given that, that amp is rated at peak power, not rms so at 4ohm you are looking at around 250-300rms anyway. 50 watts will show little of a difference it just depends on how good the amp is. If you want your sub to be louder build a better box to the company’s specs for that particular woofer or add another woofer and find a 2ohm stable amp capable of around 600-750w rms. or best option, buy a different woofers that are better than the ones you have.

Calculating one min. please.
There will be a 8.2% for #6 12.3% for #8 and a 29.2% for #10. I would avise using #6 for the hot derate the netrual by one for a #8 and use a #10 ground. This is rated for a 20 amp circuit at 500feet undergrond in pvc pipe. I would not advise sizeing it for actual light amperage you will never be able to use it for anything else and it will always be running warm. Good Luck.

I have one of these guys in my car, and a buddy of mine has one running the exact same amp you do… be aware, it is only about 6awg, but it should still do ya fine… plus you’ll save $ 30 from what you wanna spend!

How to put 3G broadband in your car or truck using a usb modem with 5GB included (Dodo), a 300-500w Inverter from Belkin and some cables. You’ll need an old PC or netbook too. I spent 0 on this setup. It’s crap, but it works. This setup is in a rural area and is still fast.

this is the better video of my new sub but this camera cannot get the true sound down…so the video is pretty pointless. The name of the song is Number one spot by Ludacris. Also a little info on the Sub itself; it is a visonic 12″ 500 watt amp/enclosure i picked up at my local wal-mart for around , it was only on sale today. NOT BAD AT ALL!!! easy to install, looks and sounds great! but i might switch out the current woofer and replace it with a 1300w sony or a 1800w pioneer, we’ll see.
