and i was told to buy a 1000 watt amp for it? Im willing to spend up to 100$ on the amp. where should i buy it? what r some good brands? im new to this stuff and i wanted some advice? and what about a box? should i get a vented one?

A 1000 watt amp will send the voice coil in that subwoofer flying right out the top of the cone. Whoever told you to buy a 1000 watt amp is not to be trusted. The subwoofer you’re looking at is only rated at 250 watts RMS @ 4ohm and that’s a single voice coil. Look for a monoblock amp rated at 250 watts @ 4 ohm and that will be perfect for you.

Well you only need around 250 rms. 1000watt rms would blow that sub. If your planning to just get one amplifier then the link below will work. If you want a good system that will last then you need to spend the money. Just make sure you wire the amp correctly
