This seems like an awesome career!!! I love to take care of people and I love to fly. Can you go straight from RN to Flight nursing? If not, how do I get to this point? I am determined. If someone tells me that I can’t do something or am not good at something, that only makes me push harder to achieve what I’m? doing. I’m 16 and a junior in highschool. Thanks!

May 16th, 2012 at 4:37 amI did the one week course that is labeled “Summer Camp”. It was a fun and informative week….lots of lectures and labs. The week ends with a mass casualty drill. This course it geared toward pre-hospital and transport providers….if that is what you are interested in, then this is the course for you. I hope I answered your questions. Let me know if I can be of any more assistance.?
May 16th, 2012 at 5:26 amHello, I am a RN, BSN, CCRN, CNRN, EMT-B and enrolled in UCONN’s Acute Care APRN program, I have worked in Hartford Hospital’s Neuro-Trauma ICU for 4 years and Neuro-Trauma Step Down Unit prior. Is this program appropriate? for me, it looks like fun, hard work and probably rewarding! Thanks, Gayle
May 16th, 2012 at 6:22 amThe CCEMT-P course offered by UMBC is better? program if you are going to be spending this kind of money. This course is offered for Paramedics Nurses, and Doctors and their credibility is unmatched.
May 16th, 2012 at 6:58 amI just completed the Summer Camp organized by the National Flight Nurse Academy last week. This promo video is only a piece of what you will receive while attending. Chris Manacci,R.N.,Director of the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program had organized some? amazing instructors/speakers for the camp. Alot of hard work went into a amazing week. I left camp inspired and wanting to raise my nursing to an even higher level. I highly recommed the summer camp to anyone who can go next year.
May 16th, 2012 at 7:47 amTo see an Air Force Flight Medic performing his? duties in Iraq for his 3rd deployment, check out my brother, Jeremy May Iraq. It shows the continuation of medical care and evacuation at the next level once combat medics have done their jobs. Jeremy is 23 and a Nursing student at UNLV when not deployed with the Calif Air Nat’l Guard in the Middle East.
