Question by Mike S: Help with connecting bookshelf speakers to a hdtv?
I recently bought a pair of Acoustic Audio GX-350 bookshelf speakers on the cheap and I need to know how I can connect them to my tv. On the back of each speaker is a red and black lever. What should I buy to power them (500 watts each).
Thank you!

To my knowledge, you cannot connect speakers directly into a television. What you need is a receiver than they hook into. The red and black levers are used for speaker cables that would go into the back of the receiver. If you are just looking for a cheap receiver check online sites like or even amazon.

I recommend Denon, Pioneer or Onkyo when getting a receiver.
