Question by klt: Duke college of Nursing or UNC School of Nursing?
I am a foreign nurse with a BSN and a Master’s degree from one of the top universities in my country. I intend to pursue a career in nursing analysis or health systems research. Which is a higher school to get a PhD in Nursing? Duke or UNC?

Question by Missa: Nursing colleges in Ohio?
I’m a Junior in High college and have a 3.47 accumulative GPA. I’m an officer in three clubs (president in two) so I’m thinking volunteer requirements won’t be a problem when getting into colleges.
What Nursing schools in Ohio do you assume I may make it into?
I’m interested in Case Western Reserve University, Kent State University, Marian University, Toledo University, and John Carroll University. Inputs?
Also, if I want to become an RN, what steps should I take before I reach that title?

I’ve never heard of Marian University. I additionally don’t realize what your SAT and/or ACT rankings are, but I think you could get into Kent and Toledo; they are not very rigorous schools to get into. Conversely, they aren’t seen as very just right schools, so it would possibly be more difficult getting a job after graduating. John Carroll is probably a bit better than them, but not by much. Case might be a stretch, but if your test scores are good, I wouldn’t rule it out.

I know for a fact that Bowling Green and Ohio State also have nursing programs. I’m an OSU grad (not in nursing) and it was the most fun four years of my life. I have a few friends that did nursing and seemed to enjoy the program.

Just apply to schools you like, and if you get in, compare financial aid packages, visit the schools, etc. Good luck! (And go Bucks!)

i have been having a look for nursing colleges online but i cant seem to find any. So can anybody help me i am looking for Universites not in point of fact Community. But group colleges could work too. Or any faculty tht deals with CRNA’s…Any Nursing faculty in any state.

off the top of my head, Lewis Clark State college in Idaho has a pretty excellent nursing application. It isn’t really a nursing school, but it has a good nursing program

other then that, I suppose there are different colleges that have good nursing programs, probably most universities that have anything medical.

Question by ???: Anybody realize of good nursing schools in Southern California?
Me and a friend are lately discussing what schools to look into, with the intention of becoming LVNs, and were wondering if anyone has any personal experiences to share of what schools could be best possible to attend. I’ve googled and researched a few schools, and all had such terrible reviews! I know there will always be bad reviews, but I’m not trying to make the mistake of getting ripped off, etc. So any recommendations or information will be greatly appreciated..

We are currently residing in Moreno Valley, so anywhere around Riverside County to LA would be ideal.

There is California Baptist college in Riverside or West Coast University in Irvine. They both offer full Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing Degrees. I don’t suppose most schools would “rip you off” but you do want to find a school that makes you comfortable and gives you confidence since your stage will be coming from their institution.

Question by LadyJadra: What are a few good tools to assist me in a college nursing information class?
I am currently enrolled in an online statistics elegance for nursing. I have a 4.0 GPA in all of my other classes, but I just cannot seem to grasp the concepts in this class. I have at all times had a difficult time with word problems and applying formulas to them appropriately so I assume I need some assistance whether that means reference material to simplify things or a just right tutor. I may appreciate any suggestions on available resources.

I always found the books in the bookstore (like statistics for dummies, Barron’s series on topics, etc.) very helpful. I actually used the Barron’s guide for accounting and also statistics as I couldn’t understand the text. I would encourage you to find a coach for a few sessions (about $ 20 am hour) to get caught up. Craigslist Services or Jobs may help you

Question by kkcusce: I need to go into nursing but I got my level in Psych what should I do?
I am close to graduating w/ my degree in psych and minor in sociology from ODU. I can only find one Virginia school (VCU) that has an accelerated rn/msn program, but I know that I won’t get into that incredibly competitive program. What are my options? Did I goof up too badly by getting my psych degree? I don’t really want to go to a vocational school of nursing I may rather go to a college. ANY suggestion would be greatly appreciated!!
