School of Nursing Graduate Kathy Getchel on “Nurses Teaching Nurses”
Earning her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Kaplan college helped Kathy Getchel get where she is today—Director of Perioperative Services at Waterbury Hospital. In addition to her position there, Kathy also finds time to serve as an adjunct faculty member of the Kaplan University School of Nursing. She believes that learning from practicing nursing professional s makes all the difference. While earning her stage online, Kathy found she could take what she learned and apply it directly to the workplace. Now she’s doing the same for her students.
