Question by darkest.rainbow: What makes car radio system good car radio system?
I want some good sound equipment and I’m trying to compare prices and features and I don’t know what to compare to know that one is better than the other. For example, I’m looking for good speakers with good quality, I was looking just for the watts but some have less watts for a higher price than ones with less watts. So just wanted to know what specs I should consider when buying and what, in your opinion, are good enough features?

Take a look at SPL and SQL. Visit your local showroom to have them demonstrate a few subwoofers/speakrs for you. That’s the only way to really have a hands on feel for your own personal taste.

I would get more since you could put a 64 bit os on that but if you want 500 that’s a good price.

Check tiger direct for similar systems for new then depreciate your computer on the age.

If you buy a cheap 1000 w they are probably referring to the max peak power of the amp, when in fact the rms value (the real one) is about 80 w rms. That’s the same with the more expensive ones, but a brand like Rockford, if they said they have 1000 w rms, you will probably have more than 1000 w. when buying an amp always refer to the rms value of power, that the power rated at a constant rate, the peak power is the maximum power it can reach in an instantaneous time.

I have an xterminator 1000d mono-block amplifier 500 rms @ 1 ohm, which i blew my two 4 ohm 12″ kicker comp vrs wired at 2 ohms each sub, in about 2 or 3 months with the gains turned down low i like to set my subsonic filter down to 15 Hz. What are some good subs that will be able to handle this amp i want louder sound and more depth?

The Alpine type R is a great sub. It is rated at 500 watts rms but it can easily handle 800 watts rms. I have 500 watts going to mine and I can be heard a block away, literally. The definitley has fantastic bang for the buck. One of these subs is all I care to have.

Check ebay for a great deal on the sub.

I currently paintings as a graphic designer, but I want to change career paths. I’ve found a CNA program (which is most often a prerequisite for LPN programs) that I can take after work and on the weekends, but I haven’t been in a position to find an LPN program near me that offers night and/or weekend classes. Is there a good on-line LPN or BSN program?

I can’t imagine that anyone could become a nurse online. You might, however, be able to complete some of the general ed classes online. It would be really scary to be cared for by a nurse who had taken classes online but had never practiced on people.
