Question by : Is nationwide university (San Diego) a good, first rate nursing school?
I am considering starting this January 2011 at National University right here in San Diego doing my pre-requisite courses and then trying to get into the NAtional University Nursing program to get my BSN and become an RN.
I also would like to some day go to grad school to excel in my health care career.
Is NAtional University a respectable school here in San Diego?
Will I be ready to get a job right away upon graduation?

Any comments, thoughts, EXPERIENCES, etc are greatly appreciated.

National University is one of the lowest ranked universities in the entire USA.

That could fit your 2.4 GPA, but you’re still likely to fail Nursing.

Question by ???: Anybody realize of good nursing schools in Southern California?
Me and a friend are lately discussing what schools to look into, with the intention of becoming LVNs, and were wondering if anyone has any personal experiences to share of what schools could be best possible to attend. I’ve googled and researched a few schools, and all had such terrible reviews! I know there will always be bad reviews, but I’m not trying to make the mistake of getting ripped off, etc. So any recommendations or information will be greatly appreciated..

We are currently residing in Moreno Valley, so anywhere around Riverside County to LA would be ideal.

There is California Baptist college in Riverside or West Coast University in Irvine. They both offer full Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing Degrees. I don’t suppose most schools would “rip you off” but you do want to find a school that makes you comfortable and gives you confidence since your stage will be coming from their institution.

Question by LadyJadra: What are a few good tools to assist me in a college nursing information class?
I am currently enrolled in an online statistics elegance for nursing. I have a 4.0 GPA in all of my other classes, but I just cannot seem to grasp the concepts in this class. I have at all times had a difficult time with word problems and applying formulas to them appropriately so I assume I need some assistance whether that means reference material to simplify things or a just right tutor. I may appreciate any suggestions on available resources.

I always found the books in the bookstore (like statistics for dummies, Barron’s series on topics, etc.) very helpful. I actually used the Barron’s guide for accounting and also statistics as I couldn’t understand the text. I would encourage you to find a coach for a few sessions (about $ 20 am hour) to get caught up. Craigslist Services or Jobs may help you

im not too sure but i assume drexel university in philadelphia does, i think nursing is one of the bigger programs at drexel, tuition is 40,000 tho if ur on the 5year application with 3 coops

Question by : Anyone know of any good RN on-line programs? And are they value it?
I just graduated from Lincoln Tech as a Medical Assistant. I need to continue with school and grow to be a RN b/c I want to paintings as a labor and delivery nurse in a hospital. I cant seem to find any local schools in South jersey for RN systems. Every time i search them a lot of online programs come up, and I want to make sure they are worth it and legit.

You cannot become a nurse online.Nursing involves learning hands on skills and working in clinical settings to gain practical experience. You have to do this in person ,not on the computer. How do you suppose you would be told to take ?care of people by sitting at a computer?

I might like to get my RN on-line but there are so many on-line schools to choose from. This question is most effective for those who have been in an online program. I’ve heard bad and good things approximately it. I heard that you only have one scientific at the end of the entire program, it may be out of state, and if you fail you have to do the whole factor over. Also will it be harder to get a job graduating from an online school versus public school? I would like an online school where you get alot of clinical experience and not out of state. GSU School of Nursing is one of the top programs in the country. I hope you can get in – it is highly competitive. The student – faculty ratio is approximately 8:1, which is outstanding and you will definitely get to know your professors and not be shunted off to some mega-classes taught, usually badly, by TAs.
