i have 2 kenwood w3012s. got a cheap deal on em. and there 400 watts rms each. will the Ultra Linear 1000 watt rms amp power both subs to full power?

You need to compare and make sure you wire them up correctly. I don’t know what impedance you’ll have them at. You’re subs are 400 watts which means the amp will have to give them 800 watts RMS for both speakers. You have a 1000 RMS amp which is over the power suggested and could blow the speakers. Make sure wire up right and should have no problem. It’ll knock. You got a cheap deal, you should make a custom box. It’s worth it.
December 17th, 2012 at 5:16 amYes as long as the RMS are True….Subs are 800w and amp 1000w so yes..since the amp is bigger than the subs u dont need the gain up too high.
