Okay, so I like to get most of my pc parts off newegg.com, as I think that is the cheapest place to get anything you want. Now the first thing I might want to tell you is that if you built this system, it is going to be amazing, but also, is going to burn a hole in your wallet.
So first the processor, the core i7 is intel’s latest line of processors. It has three different models, the 2.66ghz for about $ 300, 2.93ghz for about $ 600, and 3.2ghz for about $ 1000. Here is a link to all three http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=40000343&Description=intel%20core%20i7&name=Processors%20-%20Desktops
Next is the motherboard, which has the x58 chipset so that it can run the core i7. The EVGA 132-BL-E758-A1 LGA is a good deal at $ 300 and will also support your ddr3 ram. Here is the link http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188039
Now for your graphics card, this will allow you to play heavy duty games. As specified, you want dual and I am assuming that you want the best. I would recommend buying two EVGA 01G-P3-1280-AR GeForce GTX 280 at $ 325 each, however you can get a lower end graphics card if you want. Here is the link http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130365
Now for your ram, ddr3 ram is the successor of the ddr2 ram used in most systems today, and is very fast. For your system, I would recommend 6gb of ram from corsair. This ram will also run at your suggested 1600mhz and is a bargain at $ 209 (bargain?). Here again is the link http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145222
(also worth noting, the motherboard I suggested is capable of running 12gb of ram if you ever want to upgrade)
Okay, onto the operating system. Windows Vista, though it had a rocky start when it first came out and gets constant bad press, is actually very stable after the service pack 1 release and the ultimate 64 bit would be best suited for your machine. To this we turn to amazon, and you can get it for around $ 230. Here is a link http://www.amazon.com/Windows-Vista-Ultimate-with-SP1/dp/B0013O77GM/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=software&qid=1231541965&sr=1-4
Alright, so those are the five parts that you specified, now what you are missing is a case (I would suggest a roomy one so that you have plenty of space to fit all this stuff) will run you $ 200+, a psu or power supply unit (I suggest 750 watts or up) will cost you $ 250 (here is a good onehttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817815002), and make sure that you get the right fans or liquid cool your system so that it doesn’t overheat (sorry I don’t know anything about cooling a huge system like this you will have to look it up).
These parts will be enough to buy an extremely advanced system, capable of playing the most advanced games on the market at extreme speeds and will last well into the future especially with the ability for upgrades.
Now the bad side. I have no idea if you were expecting such high prices as from your post, I get the feeling that you have not built such a high end system before. Alright, so the total will be 300+300+325+325+230=$ 1480 plus shipping for each part will probably make it more like $ 1600 for the parts that you specified (at the least expensive of the three processors). Plus the other items you need, you will probably end up around $ 2100+ depending on what case you get.
Now I know what you are thinking right now, “What a steal!!!!”. Or you are grabbing your wallet to go lock it up in your safe. Now remember, all these components are top of the line and you can downgrade parts to fit your needs. For example, this system will do fantastic on all current games with only one of the graphics cards and you could upgrade to two later when games need more advanced hardware. That will save you $ 350 right there.
Also, make sure that you look at online tutorials for building computers. Really, it is very easy, the only thing that would be hard would be making sure your system is properly cooled and overclocking your processor if you want to make it run faster.
Well, I hope this helps, if you have any questions, you can email me at eschems@gmail.com, a cool forum that you can join for building your computer is tomshardware.com. I just joined it and the people there are very helpful for computer related questions.
EDIT: Omg, I forgot the hard drive, I would suggest a 1tb (1000gb) hard drive. Here is a good one for $ 120 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136284
this one spins at 7000rpm which should be plenty fast. If you want more speed, you can go for a 10000rpm drive but those have less capacity and are more expensive. Also, if you just have a whole load of money in your basement that needs burning, you can purchase a solid state drive as well which are good for storing programs on as they run very fast.
I will add more edits if I remember that I forgot something else
