What was the purpose of your taking the Compass Test?
It seems that you will be eligible to take many of the prerequisite classes for nursing but I would anticipate your having to take a math prep direction before you sit in a college math course for credit. My freshman yr I took Physical Science, sophomore year I took Biology, this (junior) year I am taking Chemistry. My question is; what magnificence should I take subsequent (senior) year? Most people at my school take physics after chemistry. However, out of my choices, idk what to take. My possible choices are; AP Biology, AP Chemistry, Anatomy, and Physics. Out of the ones 4 classes, I am able to take 2 of them next year. Which 2 of these classes would be beneficial to me becoming a nurse?

Of those choices, take the Anatomy for certain, and then which ever of the other 3 fits best in your schedule. A good case can be made for all of them; if you’ve never had physics, you will have to consider taking it since physics affects human motion, forces in the body, etc. Chemistry will supply you higher understanding of food and medicine interactions with blood and various hormones. Biology will help you remember processes in the body. Nursing will make extra sense to you if you have an figuring out of all of those sciences, and you will be a much better student and nurse because of your knowledge. Some things will simply make feel to you and you won’t have to make yourself memorize facts in college that don’t seem related to anything.

I was a CNA for approximately five years i have done house health, worked in a hospital and simply a few months of nursing home paintings. I’m thrity-five years old and ready do somthing with my life. I have two sons and one grandson that is just four months old . So, can anyone tell me if this is the right road to go.

The LPN must be fine for you. You will learn higher skilled work, but the CNA background will help you a lot. This is a smart move, as nurses are in demand all over. You should also think about getting an RN if you are able after you begin work as an LPN. Go for it!

I’m not a present nurse, but I am entering the nursing program this fall. Sorry, my answers are limited to what I know so far, lol. I have been through all the pre-reqs, although.
A&P is tough! It’s not so bad at community college, though (I’ve tried it as a university and comm faculty. ) You just have to paintings at it everyday. Make flashcards. Review them at least once per day. read chapters 2-3 times so it really registers. Find what works for you. Some other folks are writing learners (I used to draw a skull, for instance, and label all the parts. I’d do that over and over again.) Some people like to teach others, study with others, etc.

I went for l/2 year, then I had a baby and didn;t finish.
If you did smartly in high school chemistry and biology, you
can probably pass. Try to study some anatomy books
from the library. If you relate well to people, espescially
seniors, you should do well.
